Wow, been loving so much ritualistic music lately, and this is right up there. This does a few things very well, some killer flute work that keeps it just on the edge of going too new age (a bit like Les Halles), and the rhythmic patterns and tone of the massive subtly shifting drums is so satisfying.

Incredible album, love finding these seemingly simple yet fully engaging guitar works, reminds me of the excitement I had the first time I heard Ilyas Ahmed's 'Goner' album, even akin to a vocal-less Benoit Pioulard sound in his more indie folk moments. Prins Emanuel has created something enthralling with Diagonal Musik, I hope he continues to develop and explore this sound. The gritty, slightly overdriven strings, bits of rhythm built from the guitar, exactly my thing.
